He wad also known as Perumanoor Gopinathan Pillai- a renowned Kathakali dancer, visionary, and scholar. In particular, he is regarded as the supreme conserver of the tradition of dance. Additionally, And invented a novel method of dance named ‘Kerala Natanam’ and condensed the long laborious course of Kathakali
Job Kurian:
Job Kurian (born 29 July 1982) is an Indian singer, composer, and performer known for his soulful independent music and impactful playback singing in the Malayalam film industry. He blends folk-inspired melodies with contemporary and world music influences, making him one of Kerala’s most beloved musical artists. His popular songs include Padayatra, Kannodu, and several critically acclaimed film tracks.
Born in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, Job grew up in a musically-inclined family and trained in classical music from an early age. He first gained wide public attention as the runner-up on the singing reality show Super Star on Amrita TV, which kick-started his career in both independent music and film playback.
Job’s family has roots in Kuttanad’s agrarian landscape — his father and uncles came from that region before settling in Thiruvananthapuram. This heritage of rural Kerala and its folk rhythms has deeply influenced his musical sensibility, contributing to the organic, emotional quality of his sound.
